|Brazing of cutting torches
The specification of brazing materials suitable for use in oxy-acetylene cutting and welding equipment is controlled by the standards EN29539 / ISO 9539 - Materials for equipment used in gas welding cutting and allied processes.
These standards state that the brazing alloys must not contain more than 46% of silver and 37% of copper. Furthermore the standard states that the brazing connections must be designed and completed in such a way that the area of the joint that is exposed to acetylene must be as small as possible and that flux residues must be removed after brazing.
Silver-flo™ 452 meets these requirements as well as providing a cost effective and free flowing filler metal.
